The people at my favorite bookstore have outdone themselves with this AMAZING window for “Dear George Clooney.” I love the women who own and operate Kidsbooks here in Vancouver. They and their staff are passionate about kids’ literature. No less than FOUR of their staff read an advance copy of my book, and they hand-sell tons of copies because customers appreciate and trust their opinions. We should all be supporting stores like this! (and I’m not just saying that ‘cos they gave me a window … honest).
This photo on the right, however, shows off the “piece de resistance” in the window display – when I saw this in the window well I practically fell over I was laughing so hard. I hope the image isn’t too small for you to see that it’s my head stuck on to George’s actual date. It’s nice to have a great body, even if it’s only in a photo-shopped picture! Not to mention an extremely handsome date …
And this is Kidsbooks’ teen best seller list this week. Check out the #9 spot, too! This is all thanks to their hand-selling – believe me, that’s the only way my book managed to outsell “The Hunger Games” in one store in one moment of time! I heart you, everyone at Kidsbooks.

What an amazing window display! My friend used to work at that store when she lived in Vancouver. It seems like a great place.
Check out my review of ‘Dear George Clooney…’ here. =)
