It’s interesting – with my first two novels, the actual pub date was … shall we say … anti-climactic. Just another day. The buzz about the books built slowly. Three must be a magic number, however, because yesterday (official day) there were four – count ’em, four – new reviews published by some of my favourite book bloggers: Midnight Bloom, Booknerd, Reeder Reads, and Fabbity-Fab. I love these faithful bloggers and their passion for novels.
Also yesterday, I discovered that “The Reluctant Journal” was already on the Kidsbooks‘ bestseller wall! Where? I will show you:
Check out # 1 … then check out # 7. 🙂 Yeah, yeah, I know – it’s just one moment in time – I doubt Suzanne Collins is crying into her coffee! How did it hit #1 on the day it was published, you ask? Well, I don’t know how Kidsbooks does it, but they always seem to get books a good week earlier … and I guess they immediately started hand-selling to all those back-to-school librarians.
Then, this morning, I got some super-cool news: “The Reluctant Journal” has been picked as Apple’s iBook of the week!
So, if you own an iPad … this is a handy way to buy the book … I hope to add an excerpt of the novel soon.
