So I’m back from my whirlwind 9 day, 8 night trip to Toronto, Ottawa and Winnipeg. Lots of stories to tell, but I’m going to start with Indigo’s Teen Read Awards, which took place last Saturday night (the 25th of September). I know, I know, I’m really behind, but I truly haven’t had a moment since I left.
The Teen Read Awards were crazy!! Very high-octane, high energy. For the record, Kelley Armstrong won in the Best Canadian Read category, for “The Reckoning,” very well-deserved.I took my mom, my friend Beth, and my two lovely nieces, Colette and Emily.

My nieces’ all-time favorite moment – meeting the hosts, Dan Levy and Jessi Cruikshank, because “they are on TV!”
My favorite moment was being interviewed by Angela, who was doing an article for “The Magazine.”
And this was my other favorite moment – checking out the contents of my swag bag! I got a Flip video camera!!
