Heading off tomorrow to Toronto, where I’ll be attending the Indigo Teen Read Awards on Saturday night, followed by Word on the Street on Sunday (2:40, Children’s Tent).
On Sunday night I head to Ottawa for two packed days of presentations at schools and at libraries. I know I’m at both the Carlingwood and Nepean branches on Monday.On Tuesday I fly to Winnipeg, for another round of school presentations, and The Manitoba Young Readers’ Choice Awards!! “Word Nerd” is the 2010 winner. I can’t wait. I’ll also be doing another launch for “Dear George Clooney: Please Marry My Mom” at McNally-Robinson’s Prairie Ink cafe (their Grant St. location) on the eve of the 29th of September at 7:30 pm.
Speaking of George – so far, nary a peep from him … It’s almost two weeks since I sent the book to his agent’s and publicist’s offices. We shall see …
